Integriti Platform

Overview

Integriti is Inner Range’s flagship, enterprise-level security and access control platform. It is engineered for high-end, global applications, offering unparalleled scalability, deep integration with third-party building systems (like CCTV, HR databases, and visitor management), and a highly modular hardware architecture. While a distinct platform, it shares several Common Concepts with other Inner Range systems. Unlike standalone systems, Integriti is designed to manage complex, multi-site deployments with sophisticated server-based software administration.

Technical Details

Architecture and Management

The Integriti platform utilizes a robust Client-Server architecture. The system is managed by several core Windows services:

  • Integriti Controller Server: Manages real-time communication with the ISC/IAC hardware via TCP/IP (typically on port 4711).
  • Integriti Application Server: The central logic hub that handles database transactions and business rules.
  • Integriti Integration Server: Facilitates communication with third-party systems (CCTV, BMS, etc.).

Hardware controllers—specifically the Integriti Security Controller (ISC) and the Integriti Access Controller (IAC)—act as local decision-making hubs. They store a complete copy of the system database and evaluate access requests locally. This distributed intelligence ensures that doors continue to function normally even if the server connection is lost.

Software and Database

  • Database: Integriti requires Microsoft SQL Server (Express edition is sufficient for small to medium sites; Standard or Enterprise is required for large-scale deployments).
  • Client Access: Operators interact with the system via the Integriti System Designer (for programming) and Integriti GateKeeper (for daily operations).

Scalability and Distributed Intelligence

Hardware expansion is a core strength, utilizing both local UniBus Expansion and RS485 LAN modules.

  • IAC (Integriti Access Controller): A high-density controller optimized for access control, supporting up to 8 intelligent doors onboard and hundreds more via the LAN.
  • ILAM (Intelligent LAN Access Module): Provides distributed intelligence for door expansion. Unlike standard modules, the ILAM retains a local credential cache and decision-making logic. In “Offline Mode,” it can continue to grant access based on its cached data until the connection to the main ISC is restored.
  • SLAM (Standard LAN Access Module): A cost-effective 2-door expansion module. While it provides high-speed operation, it relies on the main controller for access decisions; if communication is lost, it falls back to a limited “Site Code Only” or “Lock/Unlock” state depending on configuration.

Comparison with Inception

While the Inception platform is perfect for Small to Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs) with its built-in web server and zero-software footprint, Integriti is built for the enterprise.

  • Software: Inception requires no PC software; Integriti requires a dedicated Windows Server running the Integriti software.
  • Architecture: Inception is limited to a single controller per system; Integriti can network hundreds of ISC/IAC controllers together under a single, globally managed software interface.
  • Capacity: Integriti supports significantly larger database capacities (millions of users/events), advanced integrations (like high-level lift interfaces, biometric syncing, and VMS), and comprehensive tiered software licensing via Smart Cards.
