IAC Reader Configuration
Overview
The IAC supports a variety of reader technologies, including Wiegand, Clock & Data, and RS485 LAN-based readers like SIFER and OSDP.
Technical Details
Reader Interfaces
- Wiegand/Clock & Data: 4 on-board inputs (T5, T6, T12, T13). Use shielded data cable.
- RS485 LAN Reader Port (T7): Supports up to 16 SIFER or OSDP readers.
- Wireless Locks: Supports up to 8 Aperio, Intego, or Salto SALLIS locks (requires Smart Card Door Licenses).
Voltage Selection
Reader supply voltage (5V or 12V) is set via jumper links:
- LK5, LK6, LK7, LK10: Used to select 5V or 12V for specific reader ports.
- Recommendation: Use 5V unless 12V is required for a longer read range.
Configuration / Programming
- Serial Reader Type: When a serial reader type is selected, all other serial readers on the IAC must be of the same type.
Troubleshooting
- Reader Data LEDs: L33 (D0) and L34 (D1) flash when data is received on Reader 1.
- Short Circuit LEDs: L11, L16, L45, L48 indicate short circuits on reader power ports.
