Integriti GateKeeper

Overview

Integriti GateKeeper is an add-on, everyday operator software module for the Integriti platform. It provides a highly customizable graphical user interface (GUI) tailored for receptionists, security guards, and other daily operators to manage alarms, view CCTV, control doors and areas via schematic maps, and review system events in real-time.

NOTE

GateKeeper is an add-on software module requiring specific licensing within the Integriti management software.

Product Highlights

From Integriti GateKeeper.pdf (Version 2), the following comprehensive feature set is documented:

Connectivity

  • Simplified Controller Connectivity — only requires a single TCP port with improved NAT traversal and reduced firewall configuration.
  • Simple Automatic Discovery of controllers on the local network.
  • True multi-controller, multi-workstation system.
  • Supports paths with automatic switching to redundant paths on link failure.
  • Clustered Architecture: Support for multiple servers for scalability or high availability.

Editing

  • Changes to module programming take effect immediately, without a LAN secure.
  • Unlimited number of granular permissions and credentials per user.
  • Dynamic Update of all data — all changes instantly reflected on other operator workstations.
  • Programming structures, inputs and outputs for LAN modules created automatically when connected.
  • Fully customizable user interface — any editor can be customized to suit customer needs.
  • Multi-Select Edit — set properties of multiple records in a single operation.
  • Cross Reference — graphically visualize relationships between all entities.
  • Live LAN status of modules, zones and auxiliaries.
  • Dynamic filtering and sorting by any field or current state (inputs in alarm, doors unlocked).
  • Selective show/hide based on name, LAN status (secured, missing, unexpected, not installed), or programming status.
  • Logical groupings with infinite flexibility.
  • Support for multiple sites with unlimited sub-sites.
  • Single-click hyper-linking between forms.
  • Automatic detection of edits made at any Terminal.
  • User export — operators can make pre-set templates and observe import file format.

Reports and Management

  • Comprehensive audit trail.
  • Any filtered data grid can be exported directly from within the software.
  • 3NF Normalized database, easily queried and reported on.
  • Full support for offline editing.
  • Comprehensive operator permissions system with infinite flexibility.
  • Hierarchical operator permissions allowing separate sites to be administered both individually and globally.
  • Full support for Multi-Site and multi-tenancy.

Control

  • Remotely control areas, area lists, auxiliaries, auxiliary lists, doors, door lists, floors, floor lists, home auxiliaries and zone inputs.
  • Per-User permissions enforced for remote control from the software.

GUI Layout Detail

Ribbon Interface

GateKeeper presents three ribbons accessible by clicking the appropriate tab:

  • Home: All most commonly used items.
  • Window: Layout sets and layout configuration settings.
  • Users: User, card and RF remote configuration settings.

Ribbon groups contain items in the same category (e.g., the “Lists” group contains Door Lists, Area Lists, and Auxiliary Lists).

Docking Panels

Docking panels are displayed by clicking the relevant ribbon item. If a docking panel is already open, clicking the item brings it to the foreground. Each panel can be:

  • Docked: Bound to the application window.
  • Floating: Detached and freely movable around the desktop.

Docking Panel Pin:

  • Upright position = panel remains visible within the window.
  • Horizontal position = panel auto-hides when focus is lost, appearing as a small tab on the window edge. Hovering or clicking the tab restores the panel.

Panels can be relocated by dragging the title bar. Dropping on docking icons at the window edges or centre of other panels binds the panel to specific positions (left, right, top, bottom, or as additional tabs). A coloured highlight indicates placement.

Full Screen View

Press F11 or click the full screen button under the Window tab to toggle full screen mode, which hides the ribbon.

Operator Tasks

Click the application button to:

  • Change operator password.
  • Log out (login dialog reappears).
  • Close GateKeeper (no confirmation prompt).

Login & Errors

Operators log in with their operator name and password defined within the Integriti management software. The login dialog shows the Integriti version number and service status indicators. Common login errors:

  • Ensure the Integriti Application Server service is running.
  • Ensure correct Operator username and password.
  • Depending on security policy, Integriti services may only be visible when GateKeeper is launched as Administrator.

Review Panel — Heat Signature

The Review panel includes a heat signature feature that colour-codes the age of displayed events (red = present, transitioning to blue = past). This allows operators to quickly identify event sequences without reading individual timestamps. The feature is particularly useful when communications to controllers have been (re-)established or when review is sorted on a field other than time, as it visually highlights out-of-sequence events.

Layout Management

Layouts contain information about displayed panels and their positions. Client workstations can be configured to automatically load a layout on start-up.

Layout Manager

Open the Layout Manager from the Window tab. Key capabilities:

  • Active Layout: The currently displayed layout. Change by selecting the radio button in the “Active Layout” column.
  • Load On Startup: Select the radio button in the “Load On Startup” column for the desired start-up layout.
  • Save On Exit: If checked, the layout saves automatically when GateKeeper closes and restores on next launch.
  • Save Layout: Saves the current layout to the active layout definition.
  • Save As New Layout: Prompts for a new layout name.
  • Load Layout: Manually load a saved layout.
  • Reset: Restores the entire layout to factory default settings.

CCTV Integration

Camera Control

Click the CCTV Cameras button to display available cameras. Double-click a camera to open a live video window. PTZ controls appear when hovering over control tabs at the bottom of the CCTV window:

  • Directional arrows pan/tilt for the duration the button is pressed.
  • Zoom, Focus, and Iris controls adjust PTZ cameras.
  • Pre-set button sends the camera to a configured preset position.

Playback Controls

To play back stored video:

  1. Select a date and time from the date-time dropdown.
  2. Click the playback button.

Available controls: Play reverse, Pause, Play, Rewind, Fast-forward, Move to start, Stop, Move to end.

Alert Management — Expanded

Alerts bring state changes to operators’ attention. Alerts are created and configured in System Designer and actioned within GateKeeper.

Alert Definitions

Define alert sources and associated actions at various lifecycle stages (created, claimed, finalized).

Alert Views

Alert Views contain Alerts belonging to specified Alert Groups. To create:

  1. Open the Alert Views panel.
  2. Click Add New to create a new Alert View.
  3. Name it and add notes.
  4. Expand Settings and assign Alert Groups.
  5. Save and close.

Response Plans

Response Plans replace the default Finalize Response window with custom layouts containing:

Item TypeDescription
Instruction BoxPlain text instructions with optional caption.
Checklist StepsCheckboxes, combo boxes, or free text items. Each can be marked “Required For Finalize” — operators cannot finalize the alert until all required items are completed.
ButtonInvokes any action. Supports optional image (bmp, gif, jpg, png, ico) and text.
Alert Details ViewDisplays review history directly related to the alert.
Response HistoryShows alert lifecycle info: creation time, who claimed it, checklist values, response text.
Operator ResponseFree-text entry area where operators add response text.
