Serial Temperature Sensor

Overview

The Inner Range Serial Temperature Sensor (P/N: 995089) is designed to be used in conjunction with the UniBus Analogue Expander Board or the Analogue LAN Module. The sensor records the temperature and converts it to an 8-bit digital value.

Technical Details

  • Range: 0°C to 125°C.
  • Resolution: 0.5°C steps.
  • Accuracy:
    • 0-70°C: +/- 0.5°C
    • 70-85°C: +/- 1.0°C
    • 85-125°C: +/- 2.0°C
  • Features: Temperature may be polled every 2 seconds. No calibration required for the sensor itself (relies on host).
  • Installation Environment: 0°C to 40°C (When used with plastic wall mount plate), 15% to 85% Relative humidity (non-condensing).
  • Physical Dimensions: 73mm (L) x 53mm (W).
  • Cable Distance: Maximum 25 metres from the Analogue Module.
  • Cable Type: Multi-core, minimum 3 core (e.g., 4 Core Security cable, CAT 5).

Configuration / Programming

  • Supply Voltage: +5V DC (1mA) supplied from the +DAL terminal on the host Analogue Module.
  • Calibration: A standard calibration string (n214FA where n is Mode of Operation: 1, 2, 3, or 4) is used to give a measurement of between 0°-30°C in common applications. Default calibration “Unibus Alog 995089 Temp Sensor” is provided in the Integriti system.

Installation & Wiring

  • UniBus Analogue Expander Board (P/N: 996560):
    • Wire the sensor A to SNS(X)
    • Wire the sensor +DAL to 1W+
    • Wire the sensor 0V to 0V
  • Analogue LAN Module (P/N: 995088):
    • Wire the sensor A to AUX(X)
    • Wire the sensor +DAL to +DAL
    • Wire the sensor 0V to 0V
