Overview
The IR Connect (SkyCommand) App Integration enables Users to access Integriti remotely via the IR Connect Services. This allows remote control of Doors, Areas, and Named Actions through the IR Connect web portal and mobile app, as well as Push Notifications from Integriti to users’ devices.
Version: This document is based on Manual V0.2 (July 2025).
Prerequisites
- Integriti Edition: Pro or above
- Integriti Version: V23 or higher
- Internet Connection: Required for communication with IR Connect services
- IR Connect Subscription: Required for remote control and push notification features
- User Email Addresses: A custom field for Email must be configured and match the IR Connect user’s email address
Step-by-Step
Part A: Integriti Setup
1. Create the Communication Handler
- Navigate to Administration → Communication Handlers → Add New.
- Enter a Name for the handler.
- This name will be used as the device name in the SkyCommand website and App.
- Set Handler Type to IR Connect (SkyCommand) App Integration.
- Note the SkyCommand Device Serial Number — this is needed later during IR Connect setup.
- Configure a Custom Field for Users’ Emails (used for linking to SkyCommand users).
- Ensure the Port Number does not clash with any other services on the Integriti computer.
- Save the Communication Handler.
Verification: After saving, check Review for the following messages:
IR Connect (SkyCommand) [Name] - RunningIR Connect (SkyCommand) [Name] - Started Skytunnel Web Request Forwarding Service at /integritisskycommand/[SERIAL]
2. Configure Integriti Users
For each user requiring remote access:
- Email Address: Set the user’s Email in the configured Custom Field. This must match the IR Connect user’s email address.
- Enable IR Connect User: Check the Enable IR Connect User checkbox in the User settings.
- Permissions:
- Menu Group: Enable all items under Category Remote Access Permissions.
- Entities for Remote Control: Add Doors, Areas, or Named Actions the user should control remotely.
Verification: After saving the User, Review should show:
IR Connect (SkyCommand) [Name] - Successfully linked user '[Username]' to IR Connect (SkyCommand) as '[email]'
Troubleshooting Review: The following indicates a permissions or subscription issue:
Failed to link user... - This user does not have any door/area remote access permissions in the Menu Group. IR Connect Remote Control will not work.
3. Push Notifications (Optional)
Push Notifications are sent via Scheduled Tasks, similar to other communication message senders.
- Navigate to Administration → Scheduled Tasks → Add New.
- Configure Name and Triggers.
- Configure Actions:
- Action Type: Send Communication Message
- Sender: Select the IR Connect (SkyCommand) App Integration Communication Handler
- Message: Specify the notification message
- Recipients: Users only — Custom Recipients are not supported by IR Connect Push Notification
Part B: IR Connect (SkyCommand) Setup
Dealer Setup
- Log into https://skycommand.com.au/ with your dealer account.
- Navigate to Customer System → Add Customer System.
- Go through the wizard:
- Select Integriti as the system type.
- Enter a Name for the customer system.
- Enter the SkyCommand Device Serial Number (from Communication Handler setup, Step 4).
- Proceed through remaining pages to enable push notifications and other features.
- Select an appropriate Subscription Plan.
End User Setup
- Log into https://skycommand.com.au/ using the Email Address matching the Integriti user.
- If no account exists, check the user’s email for the account invitation sent by IR Connect. IR Connect sends an invitation when Integriti attempts to link the email with the Integriti User.
- The Integriti system should appear in the My Devices list.
- Doors, Areas, and Named Actions configured in Integriti are now available for remote control.
Part C: Phone App - Remote Control
The phone front end of remote control is functionally equivalent to the web front end. Download the IR Connect app and log in with the same credentials.

| Remote control not working | Verify the user has Doors, Areas, or Named Actions assigned. Check subscription is active. |
| Stopped working entirely | Try stopping and restarting the Communication Handler. Try disabling and re-enabling the User. Contact IR tech support if issues persist. |
FAQs
Q: I removed a user to make space for a new user in Integriti — why doesn’t it work? A: Disabling an IR Connect user from Integriti only revokes that user’s access to your system. It does not free up a subscription slot. To release users in rotation, contact your dealer to unlink unwanted users, or consider upgrading your subscription.
Q: It stopped working — what do I do? A: Try these steps in order:
- Stop and restart the Communication Handler.
- Disable and re-enable the User.
- Contact IR tech support.
